One of my favourite songs to sing and I think this is now my favourite performance of it.
From the recent "A Candlelight Serenade" concert in St. Columba's with pianist, Christopher Callinan, this was one of the highlights of the evening for me.
A 1911 Neapolitan song by composer Salvatore Cardillo with lyrics by Riccardo Cordiferro.
It has the unusual distinction of being the only well-known standard Neapolitan song to have been written in America.
