In a lovely moment from the recent "A Candlelight Serenade" concert in St. Columba's we took a moment from the set program to pay tribute to our compere, friend and longtime musical collaborator, Nigel Bridge.
Nigel very kindly took up my invite to join me in an impromptu performance of one of our true favourites, "Annie Laurie" is an old Scottish song who's first verse, at least, derives from a poem by William Douglas about his love of Annie Laurie.
Over a century later the musical adaptation and remaining verses were composed by Lady John Scott.
