I'm on a mission to eat Shenjing Roast Goose. The dish originated in Shenjing Village, located in Guangzhou's Huangpu District! So, in order to find the best goose in the whole of Guangzhou, you guessed it, I paid a visit to Shenjing Village! Simple really.
And before tracking down my meal, I went to see what the village itself is like, and discovered a place where time has almost stood still.
A hairdressers where everything is as it was from the turn of the 20th Century. Preserved ruins. Hundreds of beautiful ancient trees. Ancient towers. And an ancient well that people still use to this day! Find out how people live in an ancient village, and stick around for the Shenjing Roast Goose!
