Hey, here's my instrumental guitar cover of "Eternal Golden Monk" by Vildhjarta. I hope you like it!

I've been a fan of Vildhjarta for 2-3 years at this point, but I'd never attempted to learn any of their songs until now. I started transcribing and learning this song way back during Christmas, but it took me a long time to polish up my playing and get recordings that I liked.

I (think??) I'm proud of the mix. I mean, it's not exactly like the record (or even close), but I think it's the heaviest mix I've ever done. I'm starting to realize how important good pickups are though, because I had to bring out a lot of the top-end before the amp to get the tones I wanted. That also brings out the noise coming from the cable... so that kinda sucks.

Also, ayyy I got a new camera! First time recording with the Canon M50. Still getting used to the 15-45mm kit lens, but I'm enjoying it a lot. The autofocus is great and manual focus is great too because of the focus peaking feature. I'm going to pick up a few lenses in the coming months, but I think the kit lens is working fine.
