I use uBlock Origin (a Chrome extension) and good old manual CSS editing to circumvent Twitter's client-side restrictions on viewing tweets and their replies if you're not logged in or don't have an account.
In hindsight, you can do the manual CSS editing through uBlock as well. If you want a shortcut full solution (that I can't guarantee will work for you), just add these two filters to uBlock:
twitter.com##.r-16wqof.r-1dqxon3.r-16y2uox.r-kemksi.css-1dbjc4n
twitter.com##.css-1dbjc4n.r-11z020y.r-1p0dtai.r-1d2f490.r-1xcajam.r-zchlnj.r-ipm5af
