We all have those games that aren’t great, but man… they just hit the spot. They’re not deep, they’re simple - they’re pure gaming junk food. In this video, I’m celebrating the games I keep going back to when I just want to have fun without thinking too hard.
From the chaotic charm of Lollipop Chainsaw and the gleeful destruction of Conker’s Bad Fur Day, to the oddly satisfying power-washing zen of PowerWash Simulator, these are the games that feed my brain’s need for instant gratification. You’ll also find comfort classics like Wii Sports, Animal Crossing, and Pokémon Yellow, plus some wildcards like Crazy Taxi, Taz-Mania, Cruis’n Blast, and yes...even Gotham Knights.
They might not be “essential,” but they’re absolutely irresistible.
Grab your controller, toss on your nostalgia goggles, and dig in - it’s time for some good old-fashioned gaming junk food.
