Dance With Me, Sad Machine is a mashup unlike most of my other mashups (and its the reason why I havent really been uploading too many to my channel at the moment.) Its a combination of two of my fiancés favorite songs, and two songs that are my absolute favorites as well. A long time ago, we talked about what is sort of Our Song and these were the two major contenders. In the end, we settled on Shut Up and Dance as Our Song because, and I quote, Sad Machine is a sad song.
To which now Im here and ready to give the hottest of takes here: What if Sad Machine and Shut Up and Dance are just the /same/ song? Ones more melancholic, concerned with the past and worried about the future to come. However, theres an underlying tone, a meaning thats lost behind the fears of tomorrow and a line of dialogue thats complimented by the other. The other that says screw the future, screw where we were, and screw where were going; the most important thing is the here and now. Right now, you took my hand. Right now, you reawakened me again. Right now, right here, and for the foreseeable future: Ill depend on you.
Dude, this is the second time Ive typed out an absolute unit of a paragraph for these Youtube descriptions, yeesh. I promise, Im a funny haha one sentence of description kind of person.
