Back in the War Years of WWII, Folks were urged to grow "Victory Gardens: to take the pressure off farmers. Food was in short supply, as well as nearly everything else. Rationing everything from food to car tires was common.
Those times may be coming back. The price of gas and food is climbing every day. A Victory Garden seems like common sense to us to take a dent out of our food bill. Even folks in apartments could grow food in 5 gallon buckets....mini gardens that wouldn't produce a lot, but it all helps. Anyway, it's a lot of work, but we are getting closer to planting ours.......I hope Cindy plants some good stuff and not things like Broccoli! Yuck! ..
