Victoria will implement Jack's Law after the November state election, with both major parties now supporting the legislation. The law, named after Queensland teenager Jack Beasley who was fatally stabbed on the Gold Coast in 2019, allows police to use metal detecting wands to scan people for weapons in designated public areas.
