Vice President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan addressed the Officer Trainees of the 2026 Batch of Indian Statistical Service (ISS) at Uprashtrapati Bhavan today.

The Vice President called upon the officer trainees to approach their responsibilities with accuracy, integrity and a strong understanding of ground realities.

He said that reliable statistics form the foundation for sound policy-making and effective governance, and that Indian Statistical Service officers have an important responsibility in building a data-driven system that delivers the intended benefits to the people.
