There's been this meta of spending the first week in game catching as many life and living episodes as possible to really min/max your start. It's no longer necessary. The start of the game has a lower zombie population that builds up to max. You can check this out in the sandbox settings. This update lets you can take advantage of the reduced amount of zombies to quickly gather up everything you need, read all the skill books you want and then watch the VHS tapes for those sweet sweet levels. No more rushing to keep up with the L&L episode schedule.
