The Hall of Advertising | VHS Openings - Turtle Diary (1986, UK) @HallOfAdvertising | Uploaded August 2024 | Updated October 2024, 19 hours ago.
Turtle Diary was lent to me on VHS by one of my parents' friends. It's a fine film about a book shop assistant and a children's book author (played by Ben Kingsley and Glenda Jackson) who plot to steal the London Zoo turtles and release them into the ocean, setting not only the turtles but themselves free. Only recently shown on 35mm at the BFI Southbank, it remains without a DVD, Blu-Ray or even digital release to this day. In the meantime, you can watch the film here: youtube.com/watch?v=fOJzB2Nyo7A
