Cinema and television followed “appointment viewing” — you had to be at the right place at the right time to watch something. VHS changed that completely. You could watch a movie whenever you wanted, whether it was midnight or two in the afternoon.
Vishek also talks about how cinema continued to evolve through Hi-Fi, Dolby sound, digital projection and IMAX, constantly creating experiences that audiences couldn't get at home.
