This song is from Sierra Online's classic King's Quest V: Absence Makes the Heart Go Yonder. The scene features a princess that has been turned into a weeping willow by a witch. Her heart was turned to gold, stolen, and she cannot turn back unless her heart is returned -- therefore she weeps for herself and for her prince.
