This step by step tutorial will show you how to crochet a simple granny square blanket / afghan / throw. This pattern is suitable for beginners.
For my blanket I used a 4mm crochet hook and Drops Lima yarn.

Ruffle border: 5 double crochets into 1 stitch, skip 2 stitches, 1 single crochet into the next stitch, skip 2 stitches. In the corner spaces work 3 double crochets, ch2, 3 double crochets.
