This is part (1) of a vertical solenoid engine project where I am converting a wooden version to a plastic version using 3d printing This first version uses a simple reed switch circuit. In part (2) I show the engine converted to 3d printed plastic and running on an electronic circuit. The device is what I call a 'Whisper Solenoid Engine' because it is very qiuiet. It is something that is fun to watch and the sound will not bother anyone.
