VERMIDAX is a new Metal/Punk Crust band from Oakland, California. Featuring seething vocals by Zeb from the legendary band SKAVEN alongside T. from FUNERAL CHANT! For those unfamiliar, you can check out each bands killer offerings by heading over to my buddy Carbonized Records socials to hear them and so much more!! In 1996 Skaven & Dystopia did a split record together and a little over a decade later Skaven did a split with Stormcrow, both of which rule, but I explain that history to illustrate the friendship and camaraderie between the folks over the years as this took place 15 years after the later split. This was the third Vermidax performance and right after them was a band featuring members of Dystopia and Stormcrow. When I first started going to shows out here the crust punk/doom scene was thriving and I miss that a lot so shows like this one felt special and remind me exactly why I love the Bay Area music community. It’s a family. Anyway you’ll be hearing more from these folks in the future, in the mean time here’s some of the action from the backyard Halloween show out in Antioch put on by Demonsmoke
