It’s evocative, almost euphoric even without a tinge of banality or formulaic clichés. In short, unlike any other pop song this day and age. That’s “Strange Enough” for you and as strange as it is, that’s all you need to know about this lovely gem. Well except the exceptionally talented songstress behind it by the name of Verite.
This isn’t Verite’s first offering though. A few months ago, she released her stunning debut single ‘Heartbeat’ but for some reason, it was removed from Soundcloud. Whatever the logic behind it is immaterial now as this NY-based songstress is back for more with this synth-driven, profoundly percussive enchanting number. In “Strange Enough”, Verite’s immaculate vocals take center stage; especially in the chorus. If there was even any doubt that the first one was a fluke, this latest track blew it out of the water and into oblivion. “Strange Enough” is profoundly beautiful and that is beyond contestation.
