Purified’s ‘Fragments' series returns for its 34th chapter, continuing its tradition of showcasing emotionally rich, forward-thinking melodic music from across the spectrum of the label’s sound. 'Fragments XXXIV' brings together three distinct artistic voices, united by a shared sense of depth, atmosphere and introspection.
Opening the release, Verbala returns to Purified following the success of his debut ‘Warming’, which earned a place in the SiriusXM Chill Top 30 of 2025 and remained in rotation throughout the year. With ‘Nami’, he delivers a fluid, immersive journey built on gentle momentum, organic textures and a calming melodic flow that perfectly captures his refined, emotive approach.
Next up, Brooklyn-based producer Aplexo surprises us by showcasing his versatility on ‘Where The Light Lies’. Known for balancing club-ready energy with emotive songwriting across three previous Purified releases (‘Enough’, ‘Faces’ EP and ‘Space’ EP), Aplexo shifts focus here toward a sunset-leaning, melodic deep house sound. The result is a warm, high-fidelity composition designed for open skies and reflective moments beyond the dancefloor.
Completing the package, Alex Rusin makes his Purified debut with ‘Echoes’, a deeply atmospheric, downtempo track that aligns seamlessly with the label’s emotive, nature-inspired aesthetic. Broken beats, delicate saxophone riffs and a sense of quiet introspection give the track a timeless quality, rounding out the release with a powerful sense of cohesion and calm.
