Local contrast enhancement in astrophotography often feels like a trade-off: you gain detail, but at the cost of increased background noise, dark halos, and broken stars. VeraLux Revela was built to change that.
Revela is a new Python script in the VeraLux suite designed around a signal-aware approach to local contrast enhancement. Instead of blindly sharpening pixels, Revela works within the physical limits of the data, enhancing detail while respecting the noise floor.
