Toonlympics is a 1999 American live-action/animated sports comedy film directed by Joe Johnston, written by Tom Schulman, Jonathan Hensleigh, Ed Solomon, and Zak Penn from a original story by Penn and John Hughes. The film stars Matthew Broderick as a fictionalized Olympian player; the live-action cast also includes Robin Williams, Demi Moore, Josh Hartnett, Piper Perabo, Bob Hoskins, as well as cameos by John Goodman, Mike Myers, and several Olympian athletes, while Tom Kenny, Phil LaMarr, Tara Charendoff, Hynden Walch, and James Woods headline the voice cast. The film follows a Olympian athlete as he is brought out of retirement by the Twentieth Toons characters to help them win the Toonlympics, against invading monsters intent on enslaving them as amusement park attractions.
