Ice Zone is a 2001 American live-action/animated hybrid science fiction sports comedy film produced by Amblin Entertainment and Nickelodeon Movies and distributed by Paramount Pictures. It was directed by Randal Kleiser and written by Karey Kirkpatrick and the writing team of Jeffrey Price and Peter S. Seaman. The film stars NHL hockey player Steve Yzerman as himself; the live-action cast also includes Dan Aykroyd and Cameron Diaz, as well as cameos by Jim Carrey and several NHL players, while Billy West, Rob Paulsen, Jess Harnell, E.G Daily, Halle Berry and Kelsey Grammer headline the voice cast. The film follows Yzerman as he is enlisted by the Zanytoons characters to help them win a hockey game against a group of evil cyborgs that intent on brainwashing the IceToons mascots to capture the Zanytoons. This was the first Zanytoons-related project to be produced by Nickelodeon.
