Coming future scenes and Countryside have the ability to use computer shaders to take advantage of the latest graphics cards (any high end gaming card from the last 2-3 years). This option allows you to turn that capability on by setting it to "gaming" mode if you have a recent high powered GPU. This will take load of the CPU and allow you to run more detail for less overall CPU load.
