Paul Roth | #VEDA 2020 18 - Meditation Because I'm Not Okay by @paulidin [OC] #WithMe #QVEDA @paulidin | Uploaded April 2020 | Updated October 2024, 1 day ago.
"I'm angry today at people who are trying to break quarantine in both tiny and huge ways. And people who think the flu and future coronavirus vaccines are scams for money. And every single day, Trump and his supporters.
Hello PaulTalkers and other viewers!
I am not okay today. So I'm going to do something I never do and meditate. You can join me.
If you are more practiced than I am, this will be nothing. If you also usually feel too anxious to meditate like I usually do, maybe this will give you an idea.
I got this body scan from the Meditation for Real People youtube channel: youtube.com/watch?v=41GqbdgYAmE
[voiceover:] close your eyes,
take a deep breath in through your nose ,
filling your belly up and lift the chest up and hold
then when you're ready, exhale deeply
emptying your lungs
make room for an even bigger breath
inhale making the belly nice and round, lifting the chest and holding
and release one more time
inhale deeply and holding
exhale deeply
on the next inhale, focus on tensing up your face
breathe in and scrunch up your eyes, your forehead,
mouth, and nose and hold
and release all the tension out in a big exhale
in the next breath in, scrunch your shoulders up
and hold
then release all the tension from your shoulders
inhale and scrunch up your arms and hands making fists, squeezing those arm muscles
then exhale and release the arms and the hands
breathe in and tense up your stomach and
chest muscles holding it
then release the tension and exhale
inhale deeply tensing up your buttocks muscles and
hold
then release
breathing in squeeze the thighs by pushing your feet against
the floor
then release the thigh tension,
inhale squeezing the calf muscles
and exhale releasing
breathe in and clench your toes and feet holding it
then releasing the foot tension exhale all the air out
now that you've gone through the whole body
inhale deeply again focusing on any areas that need
extra attention and holding it
and releasing it when you're ready
and inhale, making that belly nice and round, lifting
the chest and hold it
and let out the breath in a nice sigh out
and one more time inhale and hold
and sigh it out
And let's hope tomorrow is better."
