Welcome to our latest video, where we take you on a journey through Rome and Vatican City. We started our day by embarking on an incredible tour of the Vatican called "Original Entire Vatican Tour & St. Peter's Dome Climb" which we booked through Expedia. This tour was an unforgettable experience, and we were blown away by the history and beauty of the Vatican.
Our tour began with a full exploration of St. Peter's Basilica, where we were able to witness some of the most breathtaking works of art and sculpture in the world. From the iconic Pieta statue to the intricate mosaics adorning the walls and ceilings, every inch of this basilica was a feast for the eyes. We even had the chance to explore the "Vatacombs," a little-known collection of Papal Sarcophagi beneath St. Peter's Basilica. We then climbed to the top of Michelangelo's Cupola Dome, where we enjoyed truly incredible views of Rome. It was a climb well worth it, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Vatican.
Next on the our was the The Vatican Museums were we saw their vast collection of classic and ancient sculptures, galleries, and halls. We finished our tour visiting the Sistine Chapel. This famous building contains Michelangelo's iconic ceiling, which left us in awe of the genius behind the artwork.
After our tour of the Vatican, we spent the rest of the day exploring Rome. We visited some of the city's most iconic landmarks, including the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and the Church of Saint Ignatius. The beauty and history of these sites were truly impressive, and we spent hours soaking in the rich culture of Rome.
Our day ended at the Spanish Steps, where we watched the sunset and reflected on our incredible experiences throughout the day. We hope you enjoyed coming along on our journey through Rome and Vatican City, and we encourage you to visit these beautiful destinations for yourself.
