Wärtsilä Vasa (6)14 engine #throwback

A year ago, a piece of Vaasa and Finnish industrial history was transferred from Wärtsilä to the collections of Vaasa Car and Motoring Museum. To celebrate its 190-year journey, Wärtsilä gifted the museum one of its very first Wärtsilä Vasa (6)14 engines.

The engine was built in 1960 and served on Silja Line’s m/s Skandia between Finland and Sweden. In 1984, it was returned to Wärtsilä as a museum piece.

The engine received a worthy new home from the museum and will continue to showcase the history of Wärtsilä there!
