Varsity Quiz kicks off its 2026 season with Spring Valley High School (SVHS) taking on Rancho High School (RHS) in the first of 2 Blue League Semifinal matches.
Presented over twelve weeks, this fast-paced series is an academic quiz show for Las Vegas high schools featuring the best and brightest students from across the city. The competing high school teams field questions based on their knowledge of subjects such as history, literature, math and science.
Scholarships are awarded to the top two teams and the Howard Naylor Outstanding Player. This award, which is named after a long time Kiwanian and Varsity Quiz volunteer, is to recognize the student who best exemplifies academic achievement, leadership and sportsmanship.
A partnership between Clark County School District (CCSD), Vegas PBS and the Kiwanis Club of Las Vegas, the program is now in its 57th season.
