Variant Sea are a Dublin/Reykjavik based duo made up of pianist Luke Duffy and guitarist Shell Dooley.
Formed in 2015, Variant Sea fuse classical, ambient and post-rock styles to create their own unique atmospheric and filmic sound. The duo are based in two cities and are heavily influenced by the landscapes and scenery surrounding them. Following the release of their debut EP "Season of Mists" in 2015, they continued to experiment with their sound which produced their second record Fable in 2016. They released their third E.P. 'Selene' in 2019 and are currently writing their first full length album.
