Variable vs Parameter vs Attribute
A variable is a simple container of a data type. The attribute is a variable inside of a class and gives more information about this class. A Parameter is a variable that gets passed into a function or method.
Functions vs Methods
Functions are executable code blocks in your code. A method is a function that lives inside of a class or object.
