Heard in a narrow street in the Old City of Varanasi.

Before any of them were written down, the Vedas, Puranas, Sastras, Tantras etc all existed only in verse, 'written' on the memories of Brahmin priests.

I believe these chants are young Brahmins learning their 'lines', just as their forebears have done for over 3 millennia.
