Our first few stops in France 🇫🇷🚐
After a long ferry crossing, we spend our first peaceful night just north of Bordeaux — quiet roads, blue skies, and the perfect place to reset. From there, we head south to a France Passion vineyard stop, enjoying free parking and electric (and planning to buy some wine… even though the vineyard was closed!).
We refuel at a local supermarket fuel station to save money and then hit the A63, where we drive through a French farmers’ protest before continuing our journey. Our next stop is Salies-de-Béarn, a town built entirely around salt. While the aire itself is a bit run-down, the town is full of history, colourful buildings, and thermal spa roots.
