The goal on this map is to flee, and not intended for you to fight them. They are quite strong and most of your units won't be able to fight them very well.
Promoted units however, are very powerful and definitely beats the crap out of them.

It's certainly possible to kill them all without any promoted units, but it's a lot harder and you'll have to really abuse the A.I to do this.

If you can't fight them, just open the gate and flee through the middle.
