Here is the remainder of my vancouver trip- and a little piece of my favourite place on earth (Shambhala)
The video I captured at Shamb doesn't even slightly do justice.
Shambhala is not a music festival. It's not an EDM show. Shambhala is a community of people who bring their very best to the same place at the same time. It's a sensory wonderland. It is loving thy neighbour. It is appreciating 'being' and creativity and celebrating each other. It is becoming one with nature, and dancing for countless hours under the hot sun and beautiful stars. It's the feeling of total joy looking down at your dirty feet, and hacking up shamba dust (black lung anyone...?)
No video will capture the utter joy and human connection felt during this experience. It is where I feel most at ease, and where I feel like I can completely and totally let go of any labels, thoughts or opinions of me and enjoy just being.
Shambhala is weird. It is crazy. It is bumping into a stranger and making a new best friend. It is laughing so hard you forget what it feels like to be silent. It's sitting at the river and inspecting rocks, obsessing over how perfect the universe and all it's creations are. It is appreciating the small moments (because that is what life is about!!!)
Yes, there is major wubbbwubbb and fat bass wobbles, but it is so so so much more. I genuinely attribute Shamb for being a piece in my puzzle of making me a better human being. It is life changing if you let it be :)
