Vancouver Island diver captures rare encounter on camera with blunt-nose six gill shark  @globalnews

A Vancouver Island, B.C. diver can check a once-in-a-lifetime experience off his bucket list after a rare face-to-face encounter with a giant shark.

After the initial shock, Carl Sorensen hit record on his camera and filmed the exquisite creature as it swam by him.

The deep-water shark is not uncommon in B.C. waters, but seeing one during a recreational dive is another story.

As Kylie Stanton reports, not only did Sorensen survive the encounter, but he now has quite the tale to tell.
