Soooo this is just one of those Halloween AMVs that didn’t get finished in time hahaha (you know, the usual), so here we are, 4 months later :’D … this wasn’t meant to be like a big project or anything. I heard this song remix on the Trap Nation YT channel, and was like bruhhh this is bomb I need to edit it. I had this anime already on my computer and I’d been wanting to edit with it forever. It just kind of came together naturally. I know this source is a bit overused now, but I hope I was able to make it feel a little fresh for you guys. This Kizumonogatari trilogy is just like, pure art, it’s so beautifully animated. I personally cannot get tired of seeing AMVs with this anime (or any Monogatari AMVs).

I wanted to emphasize the vampire aspects of the anime, starting with the character getting bitten, turning into a vampire, adjusting to new abilities (and a new appetite). I feel this AMV would be most interesting to someone who is not familiar with the source (which if you watch AMVs, I’m sure that’s kind of impossible). But if anyone out there watching this is seeing this source for the first time, tell me in the comments your first impression of the AMV and how it made you feel. I’m most interested in those first-time reactions hahaha. Like, I love when I’m watching an AMV, and I’m seeing the anime source for the first time, and like the AMV just makes it seem so much cooler than the actual anime probably is. Sooo I'll probably have to share this with my brother to receive that kind of clean unbiased reaction (because he doesn’t really watch anime haha).

I know Twixtor is like that new thing. I wanted to learn it, but I’m just a too f*cking lazy old skool amv editor. I’ve watched tutorials and sh*t on how to use it, and it just looks like too much damn work to make it look good. I don’t have time for all that. So being a lazy editor, I was playing around with an effect in AE that actually adds motion blur in between repeated frames, and I have to say, it does make the animation flow smoother (even though the original source is already incredibly smooth). But still, that was one new effect I learned while working on this that may come in handy for future projects. It’s like Twixtor for lazy people haha...maybe? kinda? it probably doesn't compare.

Anyways, Happy New Years guys and girls! I hope you can enjoy this little thing I’ve made, my first AMV of the new year. Hopefully with more to come. Maybe even a collaboration….? :) . . .
