How can a person forget who God is? By forgetting what He has done. Fight to steward the memories of the ways that God has fought on your behalf, and let your life be filled with ‘memorial stones’ that would continually point your attention back to Him. If you don’t intentionally fill your mind with the remembrance of what God has done, the enemy is more than ready to fill your mind with fear and doubt to distract you from your awareness of who God is.
