This song feels so personal to us on so many levels. It’s the song on the album that really plays out scene by scene in our heads and one of the few that gives you a location, a space to imagine in.
It’s about distance after the break up. It’s daydreaming about what that person is doing and it all unwinding in your head-scene by scene until it eventually fades out. In that moment, all you want to do is bike over to their house like it’s grade 12 and a school night just to watch perks of being a wallflower for the 17th time in a row -well unfortunately sometimes the song doesn’t end the way you think it should and life moves forward. It’s a rolling wave. It’s a fast car to chase. And sometimes life makes you not catch up to it.
