This one was a real doozy! My longest 2D animated short coming in at 1 minute and 32 seconds. I had to work for 10 hours every day on it and even through a couple weekends, so even though I can't imagine this video getting many views, I hope you enjoyed it!

I made good use of Blender for making the stylized train platform environment, making it really easy to plop the camera where I needed it to get different background angles. This was also an experience in limited animation, seeing exactly how far I could push efficiency before it looked more like laziness.

And for anybody wondering, my friends finally got me watching anime, so being inspired, I dumped everything I remembered from them and put them in this video. Anybody interested in analyzing anime will immediately notice some nods and jabs at typical anime animation shortcuts and methods.
But don't worry, I'm still quite picky about the anime I've watched so far (I've been shown somewhere close to 30 different anime and I've only revisited 4), so I feel inclined to stave off the title of "anime fan".
Save your recommendations for evangelion and my hero academia for somebody more open minded.
