Joey Traa is a life-long storyteller, "retired" non-profit communicator, a women's basketball coach, and now a newly graduated psychotherapist who works with university students at Providence, and additional clients at Recovery of Hope Counselling Centre. Somewhere along the way throughout his academic and professional journey, Joey fell into the cliche of turning into a Prov "lifer" as his current Providence duties as a therapist, basketball coach, and TA have been preceded by over a decade of different hats at the institution such as university student, marketing coordinator, communications director, photographer, and even home game PA announcer. Wherever this new journey takes him, Joey hopes it involves empathically walking alongside university students, which might even keep him close to Providence so he can secure his lifer status down the road.
