If you wonder why this is way later than the first half vid....er I was busy writing fic and also playing a lot of Monster Prom which I've become obsessed with. me and my sister keep trying to unlock everythingThere's a lot less parts in this second half one because I spent ages on my neshiki vid for August. Afterwards my urge to edit parts was decreased because of Life Events. I don't like categorising 'bad' things by year because those can happen anytime but they really did decide to just Happen to me last year. Which kind of spilt over to my mood in early-mid January , which is usually my favourite month of the year??? Not cool. BUT it's not like it's all been doom and gloom cause last half of January has especially been a lot better. So, we moveee.One of the bright sides is that my editing goal last year was to improve my manga/manhwa type editing and I think that across the two halves of the year I did that! There were five of those altogether of varying styles so pretty happy with that. This yearrr editing goal is to edit with newer media...aka stuff coming out this year. Probably will just end up being stuff that's got adaptions/new things this year but I do want to expand a bit. First verse - so it might not be super clear but the first phrases are from Shiki's voice. That's her being optimistic, or pretending to be. Still channeling a bit of Eri. with the second phrase we switch to Neku's narrative and how the reality of it was that she wasn't being genuine and was still keeping things in during their first five days together. first chorus - Neku's narrative and following the lyrics! but we use Shiki's thread transition motif cause we're filling Neku's world up. am happy with how this chorus turned out! a lot of soft Neku and Shiki second verse - Neku's going through it with all the revelations and such. All that Stuff. as the song says. we come back to Shiki's pov because she wants to be likeable and for Neku to become her friend so they could win the game together!second chorus - Shiki trying to get through the walls of our resident emo. did I reuse a ton of bits from the first chorus? yes. does it pay off? I believe so. the transitions are the paint wipes for Neku's graffiti! and ofc the puzzle pieces relate to Shiki's necklace. bridge - my halfway kind of resting point but I really like this section as well because angsty neshiki is Good and also I wanted to put in that Sota and Nao scene because them cheering Neku up for Shiki being his entry fee will never not warm my heart.instrumental - battle couple supremacy. I actually tried to put in voiceovers here but it didn't sound right. so no voiceovers this edit. Toei I forgive you for your crimes against World Trigger S1 due to both of last week's eps. I started watching this with my sister at the start of her winter break and I was like YES. YES I LOVE DIGIMON. THIS. I LOVE THIS. But then we had to wait 2 weeks between ep 12 and ep 13 which was….PAIN. Every few days we were like '….ghost game when :/' We ended up watching Applimon in between that time since we hadn't watched that season yet….which was a whiplash for tone when we came back to Ghost Game 13 haha and ghost game 13 fueled are digimon love so much we decided to rewatch 02. ANYWAY TALKING ABOUT THE ACTUAL EP HUHYOU THINKYOU THINK THAT IS OKAY?BOKOMON? NOT BOKOMON?!?!NOT OUR FRIEND BOKOMON SENSEI!?!?!?!AND THEN WHY THE HECK IS GULUS GAMMAMON THE COOLEST EVER?! HELLO!??! GAMMAMON CRYING ALKSD Gammamon being at child stage and sounding like a proper child crying broke me lmao I cried when I went to rewatch the scene of him crying to edit this video…HOW DARE YOU MAKE A BABY CRY LIKE THATSo yeah I wanted to choose an angsty ass song for it and I remembered Rainych has a cover of Unravel and was like BINGO that's it (Miyako influence whoop) because she's got a cute voice like how Gammamon is cute and then goes full soul piercing scream just like Gammamon. The animation for S2 and S3 has been freakin amazing and can't believe we're down to the last two eps of S3 ;-; WT is a very talk-y anime between matches so it is harder to edit with it than TWEWY generally but I will carryover my goal of making a proper full WT AMV from last year to this year. I've just been stuck on what song I actually want to do because there are too may good options.In the meantime, though, you get this because I've had this song stuck in my head for way too long and it fits them. I tried to use mostly the opening scenes for WT S2 & S3 since this version of the song is the Arcane opening version (which is an AMAZING show which gets a high Dina recommendation) and I thought to keep the feel I'd try to use the same ish overlays as the show's opening. Happy Day 3 of Neshiki Week! The theme today is Hachiko and...welp this is their song. This is the ntwewy neshiki song. I don't make the rules. Shiki, Hachiko and The Script said I'M NOT MOVING. Hehe I say that but I do believe Shiki looks for Neku elsewhere too but I feel like Hachiko is her go-to place because that's -their- place that she chose the first time they decided they would reunite. Okay but once again how perfect is this song for them that the guy is waiting in the place where they first met...LIKE SHIKI. ...ya know I thought I already got my emotions out during painting flowers but I cried again mid editing this LMAO. Hm hm a few things I want to say...the Gatto Nero Pins are there because I do like the headcanon that Shiki made them with the additional thought of helping Neku in mind. And also ofc she totally made that jacket specifically with Neku in mind. It's purple, has a diff logo than the current GN and is nothing like the other stuff in the shop. Like Eri didn't touch this, this was all Shiki. some people think Neku's jacket has less drip and Shiki's big thing in week 1 was :( not as good at design as Eri supposedly so...you know what it SHOULD have less drip but im sure it's got the best materials and is the comfiest most professionally made looking shit in the whole world Go Founder Shiki go you. They chat for a bit and May mentions that she's got a boyfriend now, something she hadn't mentioned before since their last letter exchange was before she and Drew got together. Rafe spots Drew and waves him over...May thinks he recognises him because she's just finished describing him but WAIT. Drew's seems to recognise Rafe. She's happy that they know each other at first but uh OH so turns out their exes. Who had a Bad Break Up. Very bad because Drew yells at Rafe. This leaves May sad because Rafe was her first friend :( Rafe can tell things would be messy if he stayed so he leaves.Drew's not in a good mood at first but he realises he's not here to fume about his ex, so he tries to cheer up with some encouragement from May. They go pick up her ID since she wanted to try out the Battle Tower. She's annoyed it came out bad but Drew thinks it's cute and gives her another rose. That evening Drew does his main shoujo love interest angsting while watching the sunset and thinking about what he should do (a la High School Debut style). May in her Shoujo protag way, is Too Nice For Her Own Good and wants Drew to reconcile with Rafe as friends. pokemon logic is that they do this through battling at the Battle Tower (again, a la Mixed Vegetables). Mangaka always wanted to try their hand at shonen so the battle is beautifully drawn and choreographed and THEIR FEELINGS are transmitted through battle. Post-battle May and Drew go to see the aurora out at night and Drew's smiling at May like She's The Best (cause she is) and Rafe comes along and teases Drew. He also apologises for The Bad Way they broke up and leaves them. Drew's ready to let it go now though so they all hang out at the park at night. May says sorry for meddling but says she's glad they made up and Drew tells her no need to apologise and they continue googly eyeing each other. The End...of Arc 3. Arc 4 is probs gonna be some other person falling for May while she's mentoring upcoming coordinators because shoujos Do Be Like that.Was it necessary to write all that for this vid? Wow. 12 weeks. 12 weeks straight of editing TWEWY at least once a week. I know I said I'd do it but….huh so I actually did it. It's not like I planned on giving it up halfway or anything but I thought I'd end up too busy to do this…I guess it's a balance of work being quiet for this period, somehow, and me having nothing but TWEWY on the brain.That said you may or may not be able to tell that I'm super proud of having completed the twelve weeks! I'm sure this last video did not give any clue of that nope …nothing there…okay but for real, I feel like with a Marianas Trench song it's appropriate to put parts of my previously weekly edits in there, like they do for songs like Masterpiece Theatre and Dearly Departed. And since the title is 'Echoes of You' I think a throwback to the 'echoes' of the editing is appropriate.Anyone watching only this might be confused by the colours but if you were one of those who recognised what I was doing with it before my explanation -- THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING HERE. I MEAN IT. Thank you for sitting through my weekly edits and indulging in my twewy love. Everyone's been so sweet about it, from my regular TWEWY enjoyers to some of my subs who still have no clue what twewy is but are enjoying the weekly uploads. So of course, this last one is dedicated to all of you who have been here with me through this. I still feel like this anime existing in the first place was a miracle. Only topped by the miracle of the sequel existing. It's true. It exists. I played the demo. I PLAYED THE DEMO. I'd like to run and find 2012 Dina and shake her and tell her dw she just has to wait 9 years but in return we also get a whole anime as a promo for the next game. Whoever greenlit that idea, I owe you my soul.Anyway, since it's only a promo anime/recap anime, there's a whole bunch of important stuff missing/changed from the game so if ya got the time please do check the original game out, as I always say it's on DS, iOS/Android (cheapest option) and the Switch. The free neo twewy demo is out right now too and it's been stated by the devs that you don't have to play the original to play the sequel so go go goooooo. SO. Thoughts on the actual finale. There were a number of upsides and downside which were overall equal. I wish we saw Joshua's dramatic entrance and him being included in the final battle because that was Peak in the game. And then his goodbye with the ever loyal Megumi....and I wanted to see Megumi tell Neku to save Shibuya ;-;Now that downside is offset by the throne room behind being filled with CAT designs because INTERESTING but more importantly. BEAT ATTEMPTING TO PUNCH JOSHUA. I think I asked for that? I'm pretty sure at some point I asked for that. HAHAHAHA. Beat representing Dina on her first playthrough. Also having Hanekoma say 'trust your partner' in Neku's mind...that's an interesting take too...not sure if I like that or not but it's interesting. I'll say it's more of a reminder to Neku on what he believes he should do rather than imprinting the command on him, in which case yeah can agree with that. Another downside I'd say is changing the positions where Hanekoma is talking with Joshua, kinda wanted to see them next to each other. And taking him out of his Composer form....nahhh I don't like that. 'Cause his Composer form shows that Hanekoma's pretty Up There to be able to take on his Vibe. THEN AGAIN, that scene had Joshua confronting Hanekoma about his betrayal and maybe we can take the distance as not wanting to actually look at each other while this convo is going on...I'll take that. In an objective view it makes sense for them to have the convo for anime-only viewers who won't be able to read secret reports, so glad they did that. Then you don't have Neku's anguished scream or the internal monologue which rounds off the game very nicely...BUT. BUT OF COURSE. WE HAVE TALKING DURING THE END SCENE. Neku's happy tears at seeing Beat and Rhyme is 10/10. And at the end when he gives a thumbs up...not gonna lie I thought he was doing it to the audience/players and I was like 'NEKU ;-;' but yes actually makes sense if it was to josh LOL the graffiti at the end is v cute too (though not so sure if it fits CAT's graffiti style but we'll let that slide lmao). ...you're waiting for it right? I'm actually on an MEP hiatus so I've not been taking any new mep parts even though there are a lot that have tempted me. Which is a good thing because I still had an fx part I had to work on before doing this. It was only half a part too but me and my brother decided to binge Vinland Saga before he flies back home tomorrow so my evenings were a lot of…that instead of editing HAHA BUT OF COURSE I HAD TO DO MY TWEWY OF THE WEEK. I actually spent a while torn up on which song to do. Because so many things happened this episode such as Beat having his absolutely amazing digivolution moment. (While watching the digimon reboot, before every new digivolution the digidestined of the ep would have a flashback so from then on whenever someone has a flashback indicating a power upme and my sister go 'THEY'RE GOING TO DIGIVOLVE'). There was also. All. The. Neshiki. So I was like 'emotional Beat edit?' or 'emotional Neshiki?!'. But then the Konishi fight and Minamimoto and Kitaniji stuff was really cool as well so I was like 'HOW DO I FIT IT ALL IN'. Partners in Crime - Uzuki & Kariya | TWEWY AMV SilentStormfall 2021-06-09 | "They'll call our crimes a work of art."----TADAA!!! Wooooo hope none of you thought I'd be skipping out editing this week. Lena week was busy but there's always time for twewy. And of course you know I'd love to just edit Beat for all of the Beat week moments BUT I decided early on that I'd definitely also have an Uzuku and Kariya vid within the twewy edits and this episode is when the fight happened so HERE WE ARE.Plus the fight was SO smooth. Like I love love love how they did it with Beat and Neku coordinating with each other and Uzuku and Kariya doing the same and having each other's back. It kinda reminds me of the teamwork in World Trigger fights which is an A+++ thing for it to remind me of. also yes this song is clearly romantic with the lovers and Partners in crime thing. But how could I not use 'Partners' in crime for them. LIKE HELLO?! Thjs song is MADE for them. ....well I say this but I'm sure a lot of yall consider this the rocketshipping song hahahaha. Some fans do give Uzuki and Kariya the nickname the 'team rocket' of twewy so....yes. I think I waver between liking them more platonically and liking them romantically but damnnn the anime also gives them lots of moments.
