For the rules for 100% I decided you should have to get every item you can get, and use up every item you can use up, except it's your choice whether you want to turn in the Bone Spoon or eat the cookies. I also decided to ban Walk Though Walls, since in the process of activating it you have to use a special case of Arbitrary Code Execution that just happens to be a lot easier to manipulate than other results, and if you allow ACE then in theory you could just reprogram the entire game to whatever you want. So that basically leaves the Infinite Shockwave Glitch as the only speedrun-useful glitch in this category, which I used to full effect in this run.
If you're wondering how the infinite shockwave glitch works, I use it against several of the bosses in this run, I'll explain it. If you're blinking from taking damage, using the shockwave won't damage Fester at all, but still deals massive damage to all on-screen enemies. Using the shockwave itself counts as taking damage, so you can just keep using it and using it. Because you need to be at maximum health to use the shockwave, however, I must first use a blue cookie so that getting hit doesn't reduce my health. So it's 1. heal to full health (white cookie), 2. become invincible (blue cookie), 3. get hit, 4. immediately start mashing the shockwave.Under the Sandcanadianstickdeath2021-07-25 | (EDIT: Originally uploaded in 2014. Saves about 8 minutes. Sub 50 is gonna be tough! There's potential to save a couple more minutes with a faster setup -- maybe one you could do somewhere closer to the Shockwave -- but everything that seemed possible was so much more difficult, RNG-reliant nonsense, and the trick is already plenty difficult enough.
(I was going to put a full description of how to perform the credits warp in the description but it was apparently too many characters and then after failing to save after I edited it down it then deleted all of the formatting and I can't be bothered to fix it just to have it fail to save again probably, so no full explanation for you I guess.)Were Gonna Get There Eventually... (AFV)canadianstickdeath2021-02-24 | The current setup I've been using for credits warp requires the Red Potion, and item which takes over 10 minute to obtain, because you must actively be standing on stairs to do it, and there's no method that doesn't use Red Potion that can stand on stairs. Since the Red Potion method would always be far easier due to not being nearly triple frame-perfect at 60fps, I decided to take what I could get and call it a day.
My search for an alternate setup without the Red Potion unfortunately hasn't been going all that well. The current setup is so clean! But everything I've been finding is so messy... UPDATE 1: If you're in MQ Forest without a Hookshot and you have Fire Arrows, there are ways that you can obtain the Skulltula on the doorframe. The Hover Boots trick to spawn Pierre that is done in vanilla can be done here as well, and you can also drop down onto a Song of Time block, and then play Song of Time to climb onto the doorframe. From there you can drop down into the token.
UPDATE 2: Jumpslashing the hallway switch through the glass block is no longer in default logic. However, a new bit of logic was added to access the lower areas of west courtyard by going through the block puzzle room and using only one more key.
UPDATE 3: ToxicOxygen has discovered a technique to get from the upper balconies to the falling ceiling room directly, using the Hover Boots, skipping the need for Song of Time. Alternatively, you can sequence-break to the island with a similar trick so get to the chest there without Hovers or Longshot.
UPDATE 4: Momentary antigravity is no longer banned in glitchless restricted. I forgot to mention that the jumpslash recoil method (not shown) could be used to get up to that ledge as child, if for some reason you wanted to do that.
UPDATE 5: The trick that I show at 10:57 to Hookshot up to the switch while the glass block is there still there has been reclassified as a clip and is no longer allowed under either the glitchless or standard rulesets.
UPDATE 6: Dungeon Shortcuts setting has been added. In MQ Forest, the elevator will be available for use immediately (no need to fight all of the Poe sisters), and the switches to open the gates to the boss door are already pressed (no need for bow to shoot an eye switch). If child has a Slingshot he may be able to fight Phantom Ganon.

Unfortunately this video predates my involvement in Random Settings League, so it doesn't fully cover everything that can come up, some examples being which chests are the vanilla key locations, or what things are possible as child.
UPDATE 1: You don't need the 2nd key to reach that final skulltula. A part of the ceiling is randomly hookshotable, and you can use it to get over the gate. You can hookshot back out as well, and then go for the freestanding item after.
UPDATE 2: You can use Bow extension with Fire Arrows to get that middle-level skulltula that requires Din's to light the torch behind the gate.
UPDATE 3: Using Fire Arrows on the torches of central pillar (only central pillar) is no longer in default logic.
UPDATE 4: There is a way to progress to the Dark Link area without Longshot.
UPDATE 5: Pots and Crates can now be shuffled. Unfortunately, I do not cover their locations in this video. Update: The inconsistency with the water jet skip seems to be caused by the fact that the top of the jet bobs up and down a bit. I haven't yet tried to work out how to mitigate this.

Update 3: You can actually reach the Leever chest with Hover Boots, but it's a really tricky trick.
Update 4: The trick to skip Fire Arrows can be done with just Din's. With very precise positioning, you can light two torches with a single cast.
Update 5: Dungeon shortcuts setting has been added. In MQ Spirit, this removes the boulder from the ceiling (no Bombchus needed), moves the silver block (no Silver Gauntlets needed, however you can no longer shoot the eye switch through the wall), lowers the boss platform (so you can just longshot directly up to it), and melts the statue's face (no need to solve the mirror puzzle at the top of the dungeon).
Update 6: Pots and Crates can now be shuffled. Unfortunately, I do not cover their locations in this video. Bonko also exists and could get in the way of reaching the main room Lullaby chest in some cases.

For OoT Randomizer, "accessible" ruleset, if you go to GTG without the hookshot. The silver rupee stuff gets you only to the Wolfos chest. Using the ground jump or hover boots trick allows access to up to an additional 8 chests (another 4 more than that if you don't have bombs but do have hover boots and Song of Time, and don't want to use keys on the right side doors). You can completely clear GTG without the hookshot except for not being able to reach the underwater rupees room.Shadow Temple MQ without Longshotcanadianstickdeath2018-12-28 | Some Randomizer tech. There's a 7-year-old video that does exactly this except uses ISG to get into a good position. I dunno this has probably been done before, but I do it without ISG in this video to prove it'll work in accessible randomizer. But if you're allowed to use ISG you'll save yourself a lot of headache in positioning it.
I climb up the front edge, turn around and shield shoot forward. Then climb up the side, turn around, and shoot forward. Now turn and face about the direction I do in this video, IDK, and tap forward so that Link actually moves a little.
Now pull hookshot and do hookshot extension (hold forward, A to cancel hookshot and then the hookshot button again 1 frame later). The hookshot is pretty-much pixel-perfect. Watch where I aim in this video and aim there (while not holding down the hookshot button). Sometimes the position you want is the highest point where the dot still shows, and sometimes it's 1 pixel higher than that. You want to press and release hookshot in 1 frame I think?

I had a lot of trouble with one of the rooms late in Dungeon 7. I should have scoped that room out a bit better. A couple of minor issues besides, like almost going to the TME instead of Dungeon 3 for the 2nd run in a row, lol.
I wasn't sure how to route my heals around the Stone Gardens section (because the Romit boss fight can easily get off the rails) so perhaps I played it a bit too safe through that section. But now with the precise jump OoB found by Imglower (see at 1:52), you can actually reach the chest! But since I had to cancel Sushie glitch... there's a problem...
However that OoB found by Glower does save a little time over getting the hammer the normal way. And does bring us closer to getting this hammer without Parakarry or Lakilester, but maybe for real next time.

Bush is blinking it's really phasing in and out of existence. A well-placed jump can get you through. It seems to be easier to get through at the sides of the Bush. If you jump from too close to the Bush you will have a 50% chance of trying to jump while he exists, and you'll get locked out of jumping. By backing up a step diagonally I think you can avoid that and consistently get through?
This was possible before with Bombette Push, but that glitch takes some minutes to perform. It was also possible before with the Laki Menu version of Clippy. Obviously that's not very useful as the only time you'd want to be in this game state is well before you can get Lakilester. I think Sushie Glitch clippy would not be able to check the bush? And loading zone storage skew to get OoB could rescue the Red Yoshi, but would probably be stuck from getting back without fighting the M. Bush.
I'd guess this would not be allowed in glitchless. It's maybe about even time-wise with Spooking the M. Bushes, so I guess it's possible it could have saved a second if you needed to conserve both star- and flower-points for a faster route. In 100% categories, sometimes you wonder if it could be faster to rescue the Red Yoshi Kid as you need to deliver a letter to him, and in those routes you probably don't have the resources to beat him quickly, so this would I think would be something actually worth considering. And I think it would almost always been the fastest choice to skip it for the Jade Raven bingo goal.Kirbys Dream Course - Course 8 - All Holes in Onecanadianstickdeath2017-12-21 | This is it, this is the last course I needed to tie the TAS high score for this game, in real time. I'm not aware of this score having been achieved in real time before. I thought it would be the hardest course, but after doing it, I think 3 was harder, and maybe 6 was harder as well.
At the end I do a scroll of all my high scores. There is still no known way to achieve hole in ones on 3-1, 5-4, 5-5, Extra 3-1, and Extra 3-5. If anybody ever figures something out for any of those holes, then I'll be back for more.
I got to hole 8 after only 50-or-so attempts and then choked hard. It took another 200 attempts before I finally got my chance at redemption, and I played it very slow, lol, no chances taken. 8 is one of the easiest holes in the course, along with 3 and 6. 5 and 7 can be tricky. 4 has a frame-perfect Hi Jump use in it which makes it like the gatekeeper for the rest of the course in the rare attempts that you manage to pass holes 1 and 2. 1 feels like a magic trick every time you get it, but it's not THAT hard and it's the first hole of the course so it's quick to retry. The hardest hole was definitely the 2nd, as getting across the water with good speed was quite fickle to do, and to keep that speed requires a number of 3-frame divider boosts. You need to slow down also to have a good chance at using the Hi Jump at the right time, and it can be tricky to judge when you should stop boosting. Then the Hi Jump timing at the end is very precise and also not consistent from one attempt to the next.
Not shown in this video: Setting up the Water Bounce Memory, which is required to preserve so much speed across the water in hole 2.Kirbys Dream Course - Course 3 - Optimal Score (7 of 8 Holes in One)canadianstickdeath2017-12-05 | This is possibly the first time this score has been achieved in real time? As far as anybody knows, a hole-in-one is impossible on the first hole.
Not shown in this video: Prior to doing attempts I must set up the "water bounce memory" so that, when I touch the water in Hole 5, I'll get that weird bounce and be able to make it across.
Here's the run-down of this course I guess. Holes 5 and 7 are super difficult. Both have a frame-perfect input, multiple 3-frame inputs, and a sprinkling of jank. Hole 4 is annoying; you have to arrive at the Kracko within a precise range of time if you want to have a chance of making it back to the hole, and it's tough to judge exactly how to go about that. Hole 8 is highly choke-able, and I did choke it once, but it's a lot easier than it used to be. Hole 2 should be hard but the strat I use is very consistent. Holes 1, 3, and 6 are all pretty easy.
(I'm a little bit annoyed at my capture for putting the frames in the wrong order so often in this video. This happens to my captures fairly often, but in this video it seemed a lot more noticeable than usual? Sorry about that. If you if you use one of your projectiles (the 4 weapons, bowling ball, and dragon belch cookies) and then while it's out you equip and try to use another projectile, the projectile you fired gets replaced by the new one you tried to use, though it seems to take on some of the properties of the original projectile.
Anyway, if, during the "splat" animation for the rocks, marbles or slime, you try to use a dragon belch, game doesn't know what to do, so usually it crashes in some form or another (it's typical crash fare for AFV, so weird SFX, pretty colours, then usually copyright screen or a freeze). Maybe something useful could be done with it, except these cookies are the slowest item you could possibly think to get in this game.
Anyway, sometimes the game doesn't crash. And sometimes when it doesn't, things get... weird. Yeah I got damaged for no discernible reason, and now seems like a lot of the spites in the game are trying to share the same graphic??? (Basically if the guy who made the TAS never uploaded a real time video of it then I'm just going to assume it's never been done.)
This one was really tough. 6-3 is beyond brutal. 6-1 and 6-2 were crazy nuisances, 6-5 is pretty tough (especially since I want to keep the Tornado), and 6-6 through 6-8 are definitely choke-able. I'm very glad I didn't because I don't know if I could have stood to grind out past 6-3 again.
On 6-5 I missed a divider boost at the bottom which had me nervous I wouldn't be properly centred for the hole.
On 6-6 it's actually very easy to go straight back up the hill instead of taking the warp, but to align with the hole you have to hit like a 7-frame window to hold left, and even though I've never failed it ever, I wussed out, lol.Kirbys Dream Course - Extra Course 4 - All Holes in Onecanadianstickdeath2017-11-02 | I decided to upload this since I'm not aware of anybody else having done it in real time. I still can't decide whether hole 5 or hole 6 is harder. 6 should be harder on paper but then again it's easier to tell what you've done wrong on that hole. Hole 2 is also a little tricky, at least if you do it this way. 50 or so attempts before I got this run, I got past holes 5 & 6 only to screw up on 7, lol whoops. So I guess the Fireball can set the flag for the hole being entered, but can't actually enter the hole? The hole needs to be on a slope in order to enter it while using the Fireball. If you position it right, you can bounce out of the hole and move around, but you have no control, and once you stop, the hole ends, but it crashes as it tries to transition to the next hole, presumably due to glitchy sprites. (I thought you had to fall off the map to get it to crash, but on trying at again it seems that isn't the case.)
Course Select doesn't crash because Kirby never comes back out of the hole. Player 2 crashes even sooner, before any glitchy sprites appear. Now this run is actually pretty good. Especially Dungeons 3 and 5, which were both best splits by a decent chunk. I also saved a few seconds with a really good Morgue. Dungeon 1 was a tad below average, and Greenhouse was good but not great. The glitch took a bit longer than normal due to it taking me a while to find the pixel-perfect position to use the Slime, but overall this run was pretty good.
My computer struggled a bit more than usual while capturing this run, so sorry about those lag spikes.

Here's a run I did for SNES Superstars 2016 where Josh and I made an attempt at commentary. I think it was pretty well-received, but unfortunately the route is outdated now, and so it doesn't contain a full explanation of the crazy glitch that ends the run. I missed a really obvious, faster, and easier way of doing credits warp in RTA, so, here's an update.
It does not play together with Red Potion Skip due to needing to be standing on the stairs when using the Shockwave, so the hunt for the perfect setup will continue. Red Potion Skip is very hard, so I guess even if the perfect setup is found, this is a bit of an easier route you could take if you just want to finish a run. Maybe I could see this setup being improved if I could not have to activate Walk Through Walls in order to do it.
Steps: 0. Play through the old any% route until returning to Dungeon Six after Red Potion. 1. Go to the Iron Key screen and do the 0HP glitch. 2. Take 2-3 hits from the snowballs, pick up the full restore and use the Shockwave to do the Walk Through Walls glitch. 3. Use the Red Potion 4 times and use the Lightning 17 times. 4. Once that's done, use the Red Potion a 5th time. 5. Once that's done, stand PIXEL PERFECT where I do in this video, and throw some Swamp Slime. 6. Pick up the full restore. 7. This should save something like 12.5 minutes over not doing either credits warp or Red Potion Skip. It saves about 3 minutes over doing Red Potion Skip instead. If we change the timing method to end at the start of the credits instead of the start of the ending cutscene, then I guess it saves an additional minute. (EDIT: Actually this maybe saves another minute or so due to the Slimming Potion not being useful for the shortcut anymore, though the lack of cookies figures to make the run quite a bit harder.)
Tips: - If you can't find the position for throwing the Slime by walking straight horizontally or vertically, you will never find it unless you move diagonally to try and get on a different pixel of movement. I find holding up-left as I leave the cave when heading toward the full restore the first time puts me in a good position to find this pixel-perfect position later. After Walk Through Walls is active, do not move diagonally until at least after you've used the Slime. - If you totally screw up the setup, you can bail out by using the Red Potion a total of 24 times, picking up the full restore, and using the Shockwave. This will consistently reactivate Walk Through Walls so you can try again. Yes, that's a lot of standing around, so just don't screw it up. - Before using the Red Potion for the 5th time, the setup should still work if you accidentally use the lightning 1 or 2 extra times. - One time I used the lightning instead of throwing the slime, oops. Yes, this is speedrun "World Record," if you care about that sort of thing. I'd hoped for better but it's sub 34 so I guess that's my cue to take a break. Big mistakes on 5-7 and 8-7. Bigger mistake on 6-5. The category's rules don't specifically allow for this, but I did this run from a completed file. The only way to get a fresh Extra Course file is to spend 40 minutes unlocking it -- there's no way I'm doing that before every single attempt! (At least... no way I'm doing that until I'm ready to tackle both Normal and Extra together. And I don't like playing on VC so don't say to use that version and copy saves around. And don't tell me to buy a game saver either, whatever the hell that is. Unless you're buying? I've heard it doesn't actually work for this because it doesn't save SRAM?) The difference between a fresh file and a completed file is that, with a completed file, I have to scroll down to the next course rather than being placed on it automatically. But it does skip some animations. Rough timing suggests the use of a completed file is slower by about 2s. The other difference is that you can't tell whether or not you reset too early at the end of a course until after the run and you check the rankings to see if all the new scores are there. I proved to myself that they all saved, but to prove it to you I'd have to spend 20s scrolling the rankings menu before every single attempt. If I'm not spending 40 minutes then I'm not spending 20s either.
Extra Course is super hard. Many of shots require precise power levels, and there are many things that can go very wrong when things don't go exactly according to plan.
Notable Mistakes: 3-2: Full Power isn't the ideal power to use on the 2nd shot. The window for the B press is sometimes smaller or larger depending on how shot 1 went, but I definitely wanted to press B a lot sooner after the 3rd bounce than I did. 3-7: Too much power on shot 2, so I jumped the divider. It's a bad mistake as it usually takes 2 shots to recover. 4-6: I didn't put enough power on shot 2 and jumped the divider. I reacted in time to stop myself from flying off the cliff, so that's nice, but the recovery goes downhill after that. 5-5: Pushed B too late and so I hit some lag frames and it didn't come out at all. I had to turn around and go back, but luckily I still got everything done I wanted to do on that shot. 5-8: Underpowered the shot and so I didn't get the boost I needed which would have lined up my trajectory perfectly for the next two enemies. Extra 7: This is by far the hardest course in the game to speedrun. I lost over 30s in this course, most of it on 7-6, and previous best's go of it lost about 10s of its own. 7-2: Sinking right into the hole is hard. Sometimes I get it and sometimes I don't. This run's effort was somewhat feeble. 7-4: Sometimes it goes in on this shot and sometimes it doesn't. Costs me over a second on the next hole too because Kirby complains after the first shot. 7-6: This was the run's biggest mistake, and it was pretty dumb. Apparently I didn't press up before firing the shot, or at least I pressed it too early or not hard enough or something. I basically just flailed around after that. This isn't supposed to be a place where you can lose this much time... 7-7: Had to use the Hi Jump to reach the hole due to some bad power levels and bad boosts. Normally the Tornado is a faster backup, but thanks to the nonsense of 7-6, I didn't have it with me. A sampling of minor mistakes: After 2-8 (rankings menu - this wouldn't happen with a fresh file), 5-6 (had to resort to using Tornado), and 7-1 (boosted too hard).Red Potion Skipcanadianstickdeath2016-08-19 | This crazy trick allows us to activate the wall through walls glitch with just the Shockwave, without having to go and get the Red Potion. It currently figures to save about 9 minutes RTA if you happen to be a crazy beast and can pull it off perfectly. It involves 1 frame-perfect window and two 1.5-frame windows at 60fps, there are a couple of ways the game can just crash if you screw it up. I lost a lot of time against the final boss due to a movement error where I moved diagonally against a wall and so didn't move fast enough to dodge his attack. The Blue Lightning was supposed to last well into the third phase, but instead I lost it almost as soon as I got it. So I lost 19:21 because I didn't use glitches. The any% run is better, so glitches currently save a bit less time that that. Actually, this run has a Dungeon 1 which was a new best split by 2s, and a Greenhouse which was a new best by 9s (and old best was 5s faster than PB's, so I was 16s ahead), and though I was still 3s ahead of my any% PB after Dungeon 3, I decided it wasn't far enough ahead to abort the original plan of doing a Glitchless run. So apparently when she goes through the door during the cutscene, the door is actually functional during that brief moment. The fight trigger very luckily doesn't cover the top-most pixel of the screen, so you can use the walk through walls glitch to go up and stand on the door so that you go through it when she does. Saves maybe 1:10 or so? The fight itself figures to normally take upwards of a minute. It also saves a bit of time from not having to equip the Shockwave and from skipping a small cutscene in the room prior to the fight by picking up the Black Egg (since having full health for the boss is no longer necessary). Bonus side-effect: The boss music keeps playing until the credits start.Infinite Shockwave Glitchcanadianstickdeath2016-01-26 | If you try to use the Shockwave while you're still blinking from taking damage, for some reason, it doesn't cost you any health to use. And then using the Shockwave itself sets you blinking from supposedly taking damage, so you can just use it again... and again and again. The easiest way to have full health so that you can actually use the Shockwave after taking damage is to use a blue cookie first, but it can also be done with health refill powerups, if there are any handy (the animation from using a white cookie is too slow to work). Since you are always in invincibility frames, you can't be hurt at all while doing this trick. The Shockwave is the strongest weapon in the game, so this trick decimates any enemy you use it on. Due to the walk through walls glitch making us unable to be damaged, unfortunately I couldn't work out a way to be able to use it on any of the other bosses in the run.
It saves maybe about 25s. Besides speeding up this fight, it helps mitigate the RNG of him jumping all over the place since the Shockwave always hits everything currently on screen. It also frees up a blue cookie to be used on the previous fight, and though optimally it would be faster to not use the extra cookie at all, on average it figures to saves a second or two, since the cookieless strat for that fight is so inconsistent. So between the two fights, this trick really helps mitigate some of the run's scarier RNG moments.Clip the Gulch Gate w/ Lakilestercanadianstickdeath2015-10-05 | One last bingo strat for the road. I found a glitch in an obscure SNES game and decided to do a run of it. It's pretty overpowered, but you have to go through an hour of normal gameplay before you can finally do it. I'd guess it saves at least 45 minutes, lol.
I made an attempt to maybe explain some of what was going on because I know you have no idea what happens in this game.

I discovered this a while ago, along with the new Peach Warp method, but my laptop died the same day I was going to upload the video and didn't get another chance until now, months later.We Are Going On An Adventurecanadianstickdeath2014-11-12 | So now [unnamed dirtbag #1] tells me that two encounters with Sushie glitch also makes you clippy, which made me really interested to try it with [unnamed dirtbag #2]'s & Klig's Sushie glitch in the jungle, lol. There's so much dumb crap you could try with this but I decided to just go ahead and show beating Chapter 5 with it.
If you knock down the log on the Sushie Glitch screen you can easily clip through the log-thing that the Fuzzy starts out on with the clippy, so you don't have to come in after Yoshi Skip if you don't want to. If you're doing Chapter 5 in an incomplete state, you will probably want to clear out the cutscene where Kolarado misses the zipline, because, since it tries to move Mario, it's horrifyingly glitchy, though it is possible to get through it. The final room of the volcano was the only other one which posed a challenge. The lava there, if it burns you, locks you out of diving so you can't try to climb the stairs again, and, bonus, also locks you out of taking loading zones, essentially softlocking you. So you have to climb the stairs quickly, which is hard because the collision there is bouncing you around all over the place.
Man what else can you do with this Sushie glitch anyway? Well I can tell you it is possible to get Super Block storage in the jungle, if you come in from the whale screen you can get OoB and around to where the block is, and then you can dive off the block to get over to the Shy Guy. Bad news, it doesn't seem like you can use A to interact with the bushes. I think if you have the Ultra Boots you could probably get Super Block storage in the volcano too, but I never tried it. I guess you can probably rescue the Red Yoshi Kid without fighting the M. Bush but I don't know why you'd want to try it. You can also get Dizzy Stomp without the Ultra Hammer. I tried to get Ultra Hammer without Parakarry, and it would have worked except I wasn't allowed to open the chest. And of course you can beat Chapters 5, 6, and 7 without Parakarry or Lakilester as well. And if you get Watt and then do the Whale LZS you can do all of that without Kooper or Bombette either. I like subverting requirements, OK?
But all that stuff is besides the point. We're gonna go on an adventure is what we're going to do.Ultra Boots Early (aka Clippy Boots)canadianstickdeath2014-11-04 | The name "Ultra Boots Early" is a bit of a misnomer but "Ultra Boots without Ultra Hammer" just doesn't have quite enough zip.
After getting the clippy, you need to get Lakilester to stay near the ground while you climb up to the top of the door frame, and then you need to hit C-Down while you're slightly clipped into the wall. To convince Lakilester to stay on the ground, running around the block like I did in this video seems to give you just enough time. Getting into such a picky position so quickly is rather difficult.
This trick should probably over 4 minutes in All Cards, which needs to be completely rerouted. It should also save some minutes in All Bosses (and I guess True 100% as well, if the Ultra Hammer isn't a requirement). Combined with using the clippy to clip past the stone block in the previous room, and an LZS Clip to skip the metal block in the volcano, it also allows the Any% TAS to skip the Ultra Hammer, which might be faster.LZS Clipcanadianstickdeath2014-10-28 | While going through a loading zone, you can walk through walls. If you can find a loading zone which is blocked by something and another loading zone on the same screen which is aligned in the right way, you can possibly clip through the blockage and into the loading zone behind.
I could think of a handful of uses for this but they're pretty much impossible to test in real time, so we'll have to wait and see which of them work...
And I just had a brainwave that maybe the loading zone you store doesn't have to be facing the right way if you use the momentum from a failed jump and the loading zone is very close. IDK if this could work but it's interesting to think...
