The customer's front license plate and bumper was dented in from the tow hitch, and there are several cracks along the bumper as well."

The initial hit didn't leave too much damage and the owner was planning to let the lady go. As she was pulling to leave, she hits the car a second time, much harder this time. Upon being asked for her driver's license, the lady pulls out a Zellers card (those still exist?!) and was incomprehensible when speaking. The police later came and arrested her on the spot for driving while under the influence.Had the owner of the car not been sitting there, she would definitely have taken off. Thankfully, the dash cam was able to capture their license plate even if they had taken off.

Originally, they seemed cooperative, but after receiving a $4900 quote for repairs, all of a sudden they stopped replying and is now claiming that the damage wasn't that bad and shouldn't cost more than $1000. After a few days of no activity from them, the dash cammer has filed an ICBC claim and will be going through insurance now. The other party is not aware that there is dash cam footage.Second video: A car scrapes the cam car as they are pulling out of a parking spot. They were honest enough to leave their phone number, although the dash cam did also capture their license plate. After some conversation and repair quotes, they decided to go through ICBC. The total repair bill was just over $2000. The dash cam has since been repositioned after the accident so that it can actually record what is needed. LOLThis video really shows the importance of having a dash cam. Had the other party not left their phone number or had any witnesses around, the owner will be on the hook to pay their deductible (TWICE, in this case), to repair the damages. Seeing as how dash cams are so affordable now, there is really no reason not to get one. $400-500 gets you a decent quality front+rear dash cam including professional installation. Bad Drivers of Vancouver (66) xSupaD 2020-05-23 | The 66th (and potentially last) Episode of my Bad Drivers Series. Just the typical everyday bad driving from around the Greater Vancouver Area.This is about a year's worth of driving between April 2019 to May 2020. You may notice that a few of these clips are repeats of single clips that I've been uploading throughout the year.Since moving out of Richmond, the majority of my daily commute (to/from work) is now in Surrey, and I'm only in Vancouver/Burnaby on the weekends. Overall, I've definitely been experiencing less bad driving on the roads. As I mentioned in my last video, this may be it for the "Bad Drivers of Vancouver" Series. Especially once lock down is over and I won't have as much time to compile these anymore.In the future, I will be mainly focusing on my Vancouver Car Crash Compilations and continuing to upload singular clips of interesting catches.In regards to the clip at 1:25, I called the "victim" a POS because he was driving like a d-bag as well prior to this clip. I was in the left lane, passing cars while maintaining my speed slightly above the limit. After noticing him coming up on my ass and tailgating me, I attempted to move over as soon as I could. As I signaled and started my lane change, he dangerously cuts around me, blocking me, then cuts back into my lane, in front of me. Not a big deal, so I let it go, but I was definitely a bit bothered by his driving. The vehicle also had mismatching front and back plates. We suspect the car was either stolen or the guy was under the influence. In mid-2016, I came back and started uploading videos again. When I started uploading videos again in 2016, I purposely skipped Episode 54 since there was so much content missed, that I decided to give it its own episode (of non-released clips) for 2015. In 2016, I slowly released some of the better clips from 2015 as "throwback clips" at the end of each video. Although I haven't finished releasing all the unreleased clips, I am getting pretty close, so I figured it's time to fill in the gap and release Episode 54. Third Time Getting Pulled Over - January 29, 2018 xSupaD 2020-03-31 | Third time getting pulled over. Dash cam footage from January 29, 2018 in Surrey, BC at 152nd Street and 101st Avenue.It is important to note that this incident happened BEFORE the government passed Bill C-46, which made it legal for police to pull over motorists without any reason to check for drinking and driving. To my understanding, at the time of the video, the officer was technically not allowed to pull me over to do a "random" drinking and driving check without a reason? Someone who knows more in this area can comment/correct me.However, I realize that in most cases like this, especially if you've done nothing wrong, it's easier to just comply and be on your way. He was quick about it and didn't waste anyone's time, which I appreciate.

Uber Driver Goes the Wrong Way - I Can Finally Complain about Uber! xSupaD 2020-02-04 | As you may know, Vancouver has finally given Uber and Lyft the green light to operate as of January 24, 2020. Before that, Vancouver was the last major city in North America without ride-sharing. This was as a result of the government and strict policies which prevented companies like Uber and Lyft from legally operating. Now that they're here, I can finally start complaining about the bad Uber drivers on the road!Jokes aside though, ride-share drivers in Vancouver and BC are actually required to take a commercial license test before they're allowed to drive for Uber or Lyft. (Barely) Speeding Driver Pulled Over by Unmarked Police Car xSupaD 2020-01-13 | As I was pulling on to the highway, I noticed a Ford Taurus in front of me going about 15 km/hr over the speed limit (105 in a 90 zone). This is pretty much standard for the traffic flow on this road so I merge in and go the same speed behind him. Then, the Ford noticeably starts slowing down, eventually dropping down to the speed limit and slower than traffic flow. I know that both Delta Police and BC RCMP uses unmarked Ford Taurus' in their fleet, so I start looking at the car closer to check for signs. I noticed a few light bars in the rear windshield, meaning that it's very likely a cop, so I keep my distance and stay behind him.The Mercedes, however, was coming way too fast down the left lane and did not notice the cop until he was already past him. I'm not too eagerly fond of cops who head hunt like this, but it is what it is. It was quite obvious the cop was trying to get me to pass him after merging onto the highway, but I didn't bite.Date: January 11, 2020Location: Highway 91 Westbound
Reckless Richmond Driver Causes Accident - December 19, 2019 xSupaD 2019-12-24 | Caught on my friend's dashcam. A reckless driver in Richmond attempted to pass traffic by going into the oncoming lane, but ends up smashing into one car and barely missing several others.
Vancouver Police Officer Assaulted and Spat on by Suspect xSupaD 2019-12-19 | Caught this incident on my dash cam the other day while in parking mode. I was eating at a restaurant nearby and came outside to my car being surrounded by police vehicles. I looked through my dash cam footage and somebody had been yelling and screaming, and sounds like they were getting into fights with others. Shortly after, VPD came and arrested the guy after some back and forth talking. The preceding part all happened right beside my car, so my dash cam was not able to capture any of it. As the suspect is being put into the van, it appears that he yells at, spits on, and then tries to kick the police officer. There's just so many things wrong with what she did here. Keep in mind, we are on a freeway with tons of cars speeding by. I saw her signal a few car lengths back so I started hovering my foot over the brake. I didn't want to slam my brakes because there were cars behind me and I would have risked getting rear ended. You miss your exit? What do you guys think?Both drivers did pull over and inspected their vehicles. They mutually agreed that there was no damage and left without exchanging information. Given how big the impact looked, I highly doubt that there was no damage. Probably just didn't see it because it was dark and raining.

Side Swipe Accident on the Alex Fraser Bridge - June 22, 2018 xSupaD 2018-06-27 | Driver darts across 4 lanes of traffic while merging onto the highway, side swiping another car in the process. The timestamp on the video is behind by an hour.Location: Northbound Highway 91 (Alex Fraser Bridge)Time: 6:36 PM on June 22, 2018I was originally planning to follow them and offer my footage to the driver that got hit, which is why I didn't immediately try to merge out from behind them. After they came to a complete stop in the LEFT LANE, I realized that I might potentially get rear ended if I stayed, so I started signalling and trying to get out of there. Traffic on this road is usually going about 100km/h (60mph) so it wasn't all that easy trying to merge back into traffic from a standstill. Multiple cars behind me were also honking at them.After the drivers quickly exchanged information, they were both on their way. The minivan continued to drive down the left lane with his turn signals on while going at 60km/h (speed limit is 90km/h) for as far I could see in my rear view.
Flying Junk Hits My Car xSupaD 2018-06-26 | Video was recorded over a month ago, just never got around to editing it. I got a name from the dump truck and called them, but of course, they denied that anything came from their truck. I don't have any solid proof that the junk did actually fly out of their truck so I just left it at that. I was able to polish most of the scratch marks out, but some of the chips and knicks were paint deep. I ended up selling the car two days later as well, so that's that. Currently still car-less at the moment until I find a replacement vehicle.

The lady claims that she was trying to avoid potholes, but I guess she forgot to avoid my car... She did admit fault immediately and left me with all her contact information. I didn't need to mention my camera or anything. Originally, I didn't want to go through insurance since this was such a minor bump, but she later called me and insisted that she doesn't have any money to do a private deal. We both called ICBC (insurance company) and the claim is now in process. I'm bringing my car in next week to get assessments done. My bumper is definitely scratched deep enough to need a repaint, and I also noticed a slight crack on the bumper where it meets the fog light housing - my guess is that one of the clips snapped. Her car had minimal damage, there was some paint transfer but she wiped it off before I had a chance to take a picture. The only real damage on her car is the scraped/cracked black plastic piece thing.Well, shit happens, what can ya do.

If not, then apparently my friend has to pay the insurance deductible and claim it as a hit-and-run. This video has been submitted to ICBC (insurance company), but they are still saying the same thing even though they acknowledged that there was impact. Okay...Thoughts?

Ice and Snow Versus Windshield xSupaD 2016-12-07 | The day after the storm. Two interesting clips I wanted to share.Clip 1: Going over the Alex Fraser and a chunk of ice falls from the top of the bridge, smashing onto my windshield. Thankfully it hit the corner where most of the impact was taken by the frame of the car. Had it been in the middle of the windshield, there would have definitely been at least a crack from the size and speed it was going at.Clip 2: The snow, mixed with rain, turned into ice overnight. I was able to scrape all the snow/ice off my windshield with a scraper but was worried that I might damage my paint so I didn't scrape too deep into the roof. Plus, I couldn't reach the middle of the roof. I did manage to scrape off about 1/3 of the roof before heading out in the morning. After a whole day and 100km worth of driving, I guess the ice finally melted enough. One bump and it all came crashing down. At least it came crashing in front, rather than behind where it could have possibly hit another car.

Not really driving related, but I thought it'd be interesting to shareBasically what happened was, I was at my neighbour's place for dinner and we saw a caucasian guy on a bike go by in our complex. There are 14 units in our complex and everyone is Asian, so we found it odd that this guy was here. We followed him until he turned the corner. When we got to the corner, he already realized we saw him and was long gone.My neighbor's car windows got smashed earlier in the year, (that's why they installed a camera outside his house), and my dashcam also caught the person in parking mode.
