Baby Squirrels Visit ! Chris Notap 2020-03-01 | After weeks of only poking their heads out, 4 baby squirrels ventured into the real world for the first time! It all began when we successfully released a rescued black squirrel that my son raised from a baby. When it became 2 years old, we released it back to the wild over a 4 week period with a slow release. In the process we built a house to get him past his first winter. Within a short time, a female grey squirrel took up residence with him. Spring time came and to our surprise a family of 4 baby squirrels emerged. It was just good timing that we were able to catch the day they discovered the outside world for the first time.
