UV Printer Not Printing? Check These 7 Things First
If your UV printer suddenly stops printing ink, don’t automatically assume the printhead is bad.
In this video, I walk through the basic UV printer ink delivery system and show you the exact troubleshooting order I use when a UV printer has no ink flow or stops printing correctly.
We’ll follow the ink path from the ink tank to the dampers, printhead, capping station, pump, and waste line so you can narrow down the real problem without randomly replacing expensive parts.
I cover how to check ink levels, test ink flow through the dampers, identify clogged or damaged dampers, load and prime ink, test the capping station seal, pull from the waste line, check for printhead clogs, perform firing or flash tests, and inspect ribbon cables and electronics if the mechanical ink system checks out.
A UV printer that is not printing can be caused by several common issues, including a clogged damper, air leak, damaged cap top, poor capping station seal, blocked waste line, clogged printhead, bad ribbon cable, carriage board issue, or printhead failure.
The key is troubleshooting the system in order:
Ink Tank → Ink Line → Damper → Printhead → Capping Station → Pump → Waste Line
This video is useful for anyone running XP600, i1600, i3200, or similar UV flatbed printer systems and trying to diagnose missing ink, no ink flow, clogged printheads, failed nozzle checks, or ink-loading problems.
