They are fun to play with, if you are into cars, and a great addition for the wintertime.While driving through the house and on carpets, couch etc, lint and hair inevitably build up on the rear wheel shaft and start creeping into the motor and drive gears. In this quick video you will find out how you can easily disassemble the car and clean it.I also found out that on one of my cars the motor binds immediately if I have the motor cover screwed all the way in. Especially if your gimbals are plastic (like the Radiomaster TX16S stock gimbals), the body of the gimbal can flex if you press hard on it. This moves the stick further than it would normally move and registers a bigger range during the calibration of the gimbal sticks. As a result, when you are flying your sticks will go to 98-99% or less when fully deflected, unless you apply as much force as you did when calibrating. This kit voided the warranty though, so Radiomaster has its own LED kit instead. It plugs straight to the main board for power and your warranty remains unaffected. The downside is that the available colors, at least for now, are limited to Blue and White. YES, white would look better on my radio. NO, I didn’t choose this color :PI installed the LED kit in the radio I use at home. I find it pointless to install on my main radio, since I won't be looking at it at all. Also I prefer the AG01 gimbals without any spacers.This edit is a bit different from what I usually do. I have had this setup for a little over 2 years but my main 32" monitor has no VESA mounting holes and no way of attaching an adapter successfully. After trying a few different ways to attach it to a monitor arm, I decided to make a monitor stand instead.The desk is made of 25mm (brown) and 18mm (white) wood-grain melamine sheets. It is a custom design that I sketched, had it cut locally and then assembled it. The editing PC is sort of "built into" the design but everything is easily accessible for maintenance and has very good airflow. Cable management is also super easy.I had a leftover piece of the 25mm sheet and designed the monitor stand legs around it. Hanging them from the wall and on the side of a wooden cabinet was the way to go.I found several hanger designs but none that met my needs. I wanted a simple, small and sturdy mount that needs just one screw and that can hold my dirty quads away from the wall/cabinet, hanging from one of the motors.I quickly designed a mount that prints fast and can easily hold the weight of a normal FPV drone.
