UTA Police have the difficult task of patrolling thousands of miles of rails and roadways, much of which exist in remote areas that are not easily accessible except on foot. Drones help UTA Police reach these remote areas quickly — and without putting an officer at risk by walking next to an active rail. Reaching these areas faster allows UTA Police to better assess situations as they occur and offer help quicker, creating a safer experience for all who ride our system.
