Students from the Quinney College of Agriculture and Natural Resources made their home on the rangelands this summer with Working Lands Conservation, a nonprofit based in Logan, Utah, investigating how grazing can impact the environment.
The college’s summer internship and seasonal employment partner program connects undergraduate students with state and federal agencies and nonprofit organizations like this one, giving them an opportunity to turn classroom learning into hands-on field experience, all while getting paid. Students gain professional skills, practical knowledge, and find networking connections to build their career paths.
The program also helps agencies and organizations connect with motivated, well-prepared summer employees who are eager to contribute. It’s one of the many ways USU collaborates with partners to support rural communities and tackle real-world environmental challenges.
