"The Internationale" (French: "L'Internationale") is an international anthem that has been adopted as the anthem of various anarchist, communist, socialist, democratic socialist, and social democratic movements. From 1922 to 1944 it was as well the national anthem of the Union of the Socialist Republics (USSR).
The flag of the USSR from 30 December 1922 to 12 November 1923 featured the emblem on a red cloth before it changed to an early version with hammer and sickle.
