March 13 was an interesting day for USS.

After writing and recording new music in multiple countries for two years, we had put the finishing touches on our full-length album and finally prepared it for your ears.

Our first song was ready for you to hear in early April, which is when we were going to announce a large-scale headlining tour for the Fall, and the album release date of May 15. As we type this, the record is in the final stages of pressing at our vinyl supplier, and we’ve all been self-isolating at home for the past two months doing our part to flatten the curve so we can get back out there and see all of your smiling faces as soon as it’s safe to do so.

While we’re all dealing with everything that’s been unfolding, we’ve obviously scaled back on all of the above, and we’ll announce the details of the new record when the time is right.

One track that didn’t make the final cut of the record is a song we’ve been working on since 2017 called ‘Odd Times’. This song has been on a roller coaster ride since then, being brought out and put back away so many times that we’ve lost count! While it may not be going on the final album that we’re beyond excited to deliver to you, we felt that this song was fitting for right now.
