Roundabouts. You know them, you love them!
For those of you who live near or use SR 9 or SR 204 in Lake Stevens, we’re excited to announce we are near completion of a new roundabout at SR 9 and Vernon and Davies roads! In a few days, the new roundabout will open to traffic. We wanted to share some tips with you all in this video on how to use the new roundabout like a skilled expert.
Vernon Road on the west side of SR 9 will allow two-way traffic and connect eastbound SR 204 traffic to northbound SR 9, North Davies Road and Vernon Road without having to use the SR 9/SR 204 intersection. Davies and Vernon Road drivers also will have more direct access to SR 9 and an alternate way to reach SR 204. There are also new paths and crosswalks to improve safety and mobility for people walking, cycling, and using transit near the roundabout.
Whether you’re in a car, using transit, walking or rolling through the area, you will have new ways of getting around the area and to nearby businesses without using the SR 9 and SR 204 intersection. You can learn more about the project and get even more roundabout tips on our website in the comments section below.
